About the National Arbitration Forum
The National Arbitration Forum (FORUM) is a leading international administrator of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services including mediation and arbitration. We provide parties with an opportunity to resolve disputes with the assistance of a legally-trained arbitrator. Over 1,500 attorneys and retired judges serve as arbitrators on our international panel, following and applying the substantive law when rendering arbitral decisions.
Unbiased Process
Arbitrations at the FORUM are governed by specific, clearly-stated rules, and they are decided by retired judges and experienced attorneys who follow the FORUM's Code of Conduct for Arbitrators. Our staff is available to answer parties' procedural questions, although in order to preserve our neutrality we do not provide parties with legal advice.
Efficiency and Expertise
As an experienced ADR administrator, the FORUM ensures that cases proceed quickly and smoothly according to the terms of the parties’ arbitration agreement. Trained case coordinators answer parties’ procedural questions, schedule hearings, and manage the flow of information between the parties and their neutral(s) until a case is resolved.
Arbitration Resources
More information about arbitration and the FORUM is available in our FAQ section, Testimonial brochure and Consumer Comments about the FORUM. Also, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission offers a “Facts for Consumers” Web page titled Resolving Consumer Disputes: Mediation and Arbitration.
Filing an Arbitration Case
The Filing Procedures page on the FORUM’s website offers more information and instructions on filing, and responding to, different types of arbitration claims with the FORUM.
